State-Required Steps
HCA Registration Application (HCS 100)
Mandated Reporter Acknowledgment (SOC 341A)
TB Testing
Provide proof of negative test (from local clinic, renewed every 2 years).
Training Requirement — California Law (AB 1217)
California requires caregivers to complete 5 hours of entry-level training (before client care) and 5 hours of annual training in the first year = 10 total hours.

Blended format: online portion + in-person skills session at 74900 Gerald Ford Dr, Palm Desert. Certificate valid for 2 years.

Hands-On Caregiver Skills (Transfers, Bathing, Toileting, Grooming, ADLs)
Angel Power requires every caregiver to complete a local, hands-on skills training in the Coachella Valley. We are currently finalizing partnerships with local providers who issue certificates for these essential skills. Caregivers will be notified of approved providers and training schedules before their first assignment.
Angel Power Compassion Test
This interactive assessment will be embedded directly on our website. Applicants complete it online as part of their application process, and results are automatically reviewed by Angel Power management.
